Terms and Conditions

 

  • It is assumed that all customers have read, understood and agreed to the listed conditions of hire. Signature thereof will be regarded as acceptance.
     

  • All costumes remain the property of Mascots.Cymru at all times.
     

  • YOU MUST BE 18 years OR OVER to make a booking.
     

  • Payments accepted include Cash, Visa and Mastercard and PayPal.
     

  • Maestro/Solo/American Express/other cards can be used via PayPal.
     

  • Cheques are not accepted.
     

  • The named hirer has sole responsibility for the costume until the costume is returned to Mascots.Cymru premises.
     

  • No refunds will be issued once a costume has been confirmed as booked. This will include cancellation of the function, for whatever reason.
     

  • Any changes to a booking may be subject to a £5 administration fee.
     

  • Costumes cannot be changed once they have left the posession of Mascots.Cymru.
     

  • In the event a third party damages a costume prior to your hire date, a comparable replacement will be offered and customers will be contacted immediately for discussion.
     

  • Customers should check their costume thoroughly and advise Mascots.Cymru of any damage, marks, or items missing upon collection. Any damage not reported by 7 p.m. on the day of collection, will be charged to the hirer.
     

  • Customers wear Mascots.Cymru boots & shoes at their own risk and are hired as seen.
     

  • Costumes must be returned on the day specified within the hire agreement, within normal shop opening times. Failure to do so will result in a penalty of £5 per day.
     

  • Customers must not wash costumes or tumble dry any wet item.
     

  • Customers must not attempt to alter the costumes in any way including;

    • attaching sticky labels or badges to any part of the costume.

    • pinning, sewing, glueing or ironing any costume.
       

  • Mascots.Cymru reserves the right to forfeit part or all of the deposit or charge customers with the cost of replacement if;

    • Any modifications/alterations have been carried out on a costume

    • A costume is returned beyond reasonable repair

    • A costume is returned needing specialised cleaning

    • A costume is returned with permanent damage, i.e. cigarette burns

    • A costume is returned with one or more items missing

    • A costume is returned stained with blood (or other body fluids)

    • A costume is not returned to Mascots.cymru for whatever reason
       

  • Deposits/replacement costs will be deducted from the customer's credit/debit card (if applicable) if the costume is returned evidencing any of the above conditions.
     

  • All costumes shall be subject to inspection upon return. 
     

  • Mascots.Cymru shall notify customers of any issues immediately upon discovery.
     

  • Mascots.Cymru reserves the right to refuse booking requests at any time.
     

  • Mascots.Cymru reserves the right to terminate any staffed character appearances or costume hire if subjected to ANY of the following:

    • Verbal abuse or agression.

    • Physical abuse or agression.

    • Profane language.

    • Untruthful conduct from the customer.

    • Misrepresentation from the customer.
       

  • Customers must remain in contact with Mascots.Cymru prior to their function. This is to ensure clarity and efficiency in service.
     

  • All queries shall be answering within 24 hours from being received.
